You, inside their app
Every place the patient sees their care team: meal comments, messages and broadcasts, assigned measures, goals, the safety plan, and the shared grocery list.
Most of this section describes what Pippa does on its own. This page is the inverse: every place you show up inside the patient's app, and the exact wording that carries your presence. Throughout the app you are always your care team; roles and titles are never exposed.
Meal comments
When you leave a comment on a meal (the dashboard field is labeled Comment [patient] can see), it appears in the patient's meal detail directly under the photo as 💬 [your name]: [comment]. Under it sits a reply button: Message [your name] when you have commented, or Ask about this meal when you have not, either of which starts a message thread with that meal attached (tagged about this meal).
Messages and broadcasts
The 💌 chip on the home screen opens 💌 Messages. Before anything arrives the empty state reads No messages yet. When your care team writes to you, it shows up here. A standing line separates you from the bot: messages here go to your real care team, not the Pippa AI.
Inside a thread the header is [your name] · your care team, and the empty-thread nudge is honest about pace: Say hi. [name] will see your message on their next visit to the dashboard. Messages are capped at 2000 characters (let's keep it under 2000 characters 💛). A broadcast you send to several patients renders in the same thread with a 📣 announcement tag above it, so a mass message never masquerades as a personal one. Sending and replying from your side is covered in Messages.
Assigned measures
When you assign a questionnaire (PHQ-9, GAD-7, SCOFF, EDE-Q), a card appears on the patient's home screen: your care team sent a check-in / tap to fill it in, whenever you're ready 💛. The runner opens with your care team sent a check-in. answer however feels honest, there are no right or wrong answers and no scores shown here. The submit button is send to my care team 💛, and completion lands on thanks, sent to your care team 💛.
Scoring happens server-side and appears only on your dashboard. The one safety exception: if PHQ-9 item 9 (self-harm) is endorsed, the patient immediately sees a You're not alone 💛 crisis card with resources, before the sheet closes. Interpretation bands and workflows are in Measures.
Goals
The goals view is titled my goals 💛 with the subtitle set together with your care team, split into short term 🌱 and long term 🌟. A goal you mark reached gets a quiet filled checkmark, never a strikethrough, and there are no progress bars or percentages. Empty, it reads nothing here yet. goals you set with your care team will show up here.
The safety plan
The safety plan you write on the dashboard is readable in the patient's Settings under 🛟 Safety (Here whenever you need it), introduced as Your safety plan, made with [your name]. It shows your six sections read-only: Warning signs, Things I can do on my own, People and places that help me, People I can ask for help, Professionals I can contact, and Keeping my space safe. A fixed footer sets expectations plainly: Pippa and your care team don't monitor the app 24/7. If you're in a crisis, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) right away. Someone is there for you any time, day or night. Authoring it is covered in Safety plan.
The shared grocery list
🧺 Grocery list is a genuinely shared surface: you and your care team share this list. tap to check things off, swipe to remove. Both sides can add and check off items, and when you change it the patient sees your care team updated this list 💛. The empty state keeps food framing out of it: nothing on the list yet. add whatever sounds good.
The meal plan, editable or not
Whether the patient can edit their own plan is your call per patient. Member-editable plans say your slots, your times. reminders follow them.; care-team-managed plans say your care team manages this plan. you can still peek anytime. and hide the save button entirely. Exchange and plate targets are read-only either way, always labeled set with your care team 💛. How the plan renders in their day is in Logging a meal; configuring it is in Meal plans.
The weigh-in prompt
Only if you set a Self weigh-in cadence of Weekly or Monthly does the patient ever see this. Once per period, on opening the app, they get a gentle prompt that names you as the reason and is explicit that the number stays hidden from them:
The weight field is blind: what they enter is sent to you and never shown back, and there is no history or trend on their side. The height below it is pre-filled from what you have on file and is editable, so they can correct it. After sending, the close screen keeps the same tone and never echoes a number:
Not right now closes it with no penalty; the prompt simply returns next period. The weight lands on the patient's Weight tile and trend, and a corrected height updates the Height tile.
