Language and display

Help patients choose a readable app language and understand which text stays in its original wording.

On this page

Both patient apps offer a Language section in Settings. The choices are Automatic, English, Español, Français, and 简体中文. Automatic follows the phone's language; choosing a language overrides it for Pippa's interface.

What the language choice changes

The choice changes translated interface text, including app navigation, settings, and supported prompts. These docs use English button labels, so a patient using another language may see the translated label in the same workflow.

Patient-written entries and your own messages, survey questions, plan notes, and custom meal names remain authored content. Do not assume changing the app language translates what you or the patient wrote. Write custom questions in wording the patient can understand.

The clinician dashboard and this hub currently use English. A patient's app language does not change your dashboard language.

Larger text

In Pippa, open Settings and choose Make it yours. In Nuro, open Settings and choose Profile. Under Text size, choose System, Large, Extra large, or Largest. The choice is saved on that device. A larger text size in the phone's accessibility settings still takes priority.

For the clinician dashboard, open Settings and look under Appearance. This docs hub and the legal website have a Text size selector in the header. These websites offer sizes up to 200% and remember the choice in that browser for each website. Choose Default to reset it.

Colors and care settings

Patients can also choose an app color theme in Settings. A color change does not change their plan or the care team's visibility. Features such as hidden meal history or nutrient bars are controlled separately through Customizations.

If the patient cannot find something, confirm their language, installed app version, and care settings before walking them through the logging screens.
