Your first 15 minutes
Sign in, tour the roster, open a patient, and read the Overview tiles.
This is a guided first pass through the dashboard. By the end you will know how to sign in, find a client, and read the tiles that summarize their week. Nothing here changes any data, so it is safe to explore.
You need an invited staff account. A clinic admin (or the Pippa team) invites you by email, and that email contains a link to set your password. If you do not have one yet, ask your clinic admin. See Onboarding a patient for how clients arrive on your roster.
Open the dashboard and sign in with your email and password. If you were just invited, use Set or reset your password first to choose a password, then come back and sign in.
The very first time you open a patient, Pippa asks you to sign a one-time HIPAA attestation. No client records load until you have signed it. This is a single step, done once.
After sign-in you land on your roster: the table of clients you work with. This is your home base. Every workday starts here.

Each row is one client. From left to right:
- Member is their name and contact email. The name links to their page when you can open it.
- Status shows whether the membership is active.
- Consent is the key column. Granted means you can open their data. Pending means the agreement is not fully signed yet, so no individual data is visible.
- Last active is when they last used the app.
- Streak is their soft streak length in days.
- Unread flags messages from that client waiting for you.
- At-risk shows a red At risk badge with a short reason when Pippa detects a concern. These sort to the top on purpose.
Try the search box to filter by name or email.
Click a client whose Consent column says Granted. You land on their patient page, which opens on the Overview tab.
If you open a client who has not granted consent, you will see a notice that individual data is hidden, and the page steers you to the Consent waiver tab to send the agreement. That is expected. See Onboarding a patient.

Above the charts sits a row of tiles that summarize the client at a glance. The ones to know on day one:
- Meal adherence is the share of logged meals confirmed eaten (the post-meal check-in confirms a meal; skips record not eaten). The most important recovery signal on the page.
- Days logged counts distinct days with at least one logged meal in the analysis window.
- Weight, Height, and Calorie goal are clinician-owned. You set these; the client does not.
- Progress bar controls whether the client's app shows a soft progress bar, and in what form.
- Streak shows the soft streak and coin count.
- Conversations shows OK or a red flag count if the Pippa AI companion detected concerning language.
Some tiles are also controls, and below the tile row sit three collapsed cards (check-in controls, the post-meal check-in questions, and nutrition visibility) that change what the client experiences in their app. Read the Overview tab before you flip those, since they are covered in depth there.
Above the tiles, a concern panel calls out anything Pippa flagged, with a reason you can read and acknowledge. Down the side, tabs take you deeper: Nutrition, Logs, Measures, Safety Plan, Engagement, Conversations, Messages, Consent waiver, and Clinical Notes. Each has its own doc page under The dashboard.
Skim the roster top to bottom. Clear the red at-risk badges and unread messages first, then open anyone whose adherence looks off. That ten-minute loop is most of the value.
You now know your way around. Next, learn how a client actually gets onto your roster in Onboarding a patient.
